Look Good Feel Better is a free community service program which hosts two and a half hour workshops held at major hospitals and cancer care centres around Australia. These are open to all women undergoing or about to undergo chemotherapy or radiation treatment for cancer and are designed to provide useful tips and information exclusively tailored to help women deal with the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment.
Every month the Starkles professionals give demonstrations on the use of wigs, turbans, hats, scarves and fringes at these workshops throughout Brisbane, Ipswich, Redcliffe, Gold Coast, NSW and surrounds. Learn creative and practical ways to cope better with hair loss. You will have an opportunity to try on wigs, headwear and turbans during this interactive workshop. Our mission is to put a smile on the face of every participant and help them discover the many resources available that help to reduce stress and discomfort at such an emotional time.
We are honoured to serve as volunteers for this wonderful program. We find these workshops to be wonderful morale boosters and would recommend them to anyone facing cancer.
